Riversbrook Veterinary Group is a small animal practice based in Ipswich. We have two surgeries: the main surgery at Cliff Lane and the branch surgery at Ellenbrook Green. The practice was established in the early 19th century by a local family of farriers, horse doctors and insurers. CVS (UK) Ltd acquired the practice in July 2014.
Both of our branches are accredited by the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme and the Cliff Lane branch is an approved training centre for veterinary nurses. We are also a Cat Friendly Clinic.
Our facilities include a newly refurbished operating suite, in-house laboratory, digital X-ray, ultrasound and separate cat and dog wards. We also have a ward specifically for high dependency cases and another for animals with contagious conditions.
During the refurbishment we wanted to pay tribute to past staff members therefore our cat and dog ward were named, some of our long standing clients may well remember Mr Hullis back when the practice on Cliff Lane was a lot smaller than it is today and only had one consulting room, his name can be found on the dog ward. Many of you may of seen Izzy, who sadly lost her battle with cancer in 2009 as a tribute the cat ward was named after her.
We have our own ambulance which is used to transport patients from our Ellenbrook surgery over to Cliff Lane for operations. This saves our Ellenbrook clients from having to drive across town during busy periods. Our ambulance has space to hold one large dog, plus two smaller dogs or cats at the same time, with specially fitted kennels, complete with comfy beds.
Our dedicated close knit team of veterinary professionals made up of veterinary surgeons, registered nurses and support staff are on hand to provide your pet with the personal care and attention they need.
