Many of our patients are receiving long term treatment and are eligible for ‘repeat prescriptions’. Usually, we see these patients every six months, although for some conditions and often at the start of a new treatment, this may be more frequently.
If your pet is due more of their usual medication, please contact us no less than 48-hours before you would like to collect this. This may be done by completing the form below or calling the surgery.
Please note we ask for at least two working days’ notice, so that our staff have the opportunity to order this specifically should we need to, but also to ensure that the medicine is still appropriate for your pet, and to arrange a recheck if necessary.
For routine flea and worming treatments for patients already under our care, we ask you to try to give us 24-hours’ notice. We accommodate all requests as far as possible.
You may obtain relevant veterinary medicinal products from us or ask for a written prescription and obtain these medications from another pharmacy. Your veterinary surgeon may prescribe relevant veterinary products only following a clinical assessment of an animal under their care, a prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an in-patient or if immediate treatment is necessary.
There is a standard charge for issuing a written prescription to be filled elsewhere. Further information on the price of medicines is available on request.
