She has seen many changes over the years. She started at here firstly as an assistant nurse in 1995. Back then there were five vets and three nurses. Sue changed roles and became a receptionist around 11 years ago.
Sue says that her favourite and most enjoyable aspects of her job have been the client interaction and the ability to see peoples’ pets grow and develop. From tiny puppies and kittens to senior gentle dogs and cats. Throughout the years here, Sue has had a number of pets: four cats, three dogs, six rabbits, three guinea pigs, chickens and quails. Her favourite breeds of dog include Irish Setter, Lurcher and Pointer crosses. She currently owns Hester, a Lurcher and still keeps backyard poultry such as quails and rescue hens.
Says Kay Lockwood, Practice Director: “Sue has a vast depth of knowledge from her years of experience working in practice, she is fundamental to the training of new members of the team and the welcoming of new and existing clients. Her passion for helping people is what makes her well suited to being Cliff Lane’s Bereavement Counsellor. She always has time, not only for our clients and their pets but for her fellow colleagues, too. I thank Sue for all her hard work over the years and look forward to working many more with her!”
