
Samantha Smith BVM BVS MRCVS (OV)
Head Veterinary Surgeon
Sam is originally from Lancashire and completed her studies at University of Nottingham. She has been at Riversbrook since May 2015 but had been practicing in Suffolk for four years prior to joining us. Sam has a keen interest in all aspects of surgery. Sam is an official veterinarian (OV) which means she can complete pet passports to allow you to take your dogs and cats abroad.

Marta Baglietto Siles BVSc MRCVS
Marta qualified in Madrid in 2009 then completed an internship at the university there for a year. Previously to working here Marta was a surgical assistant intern at The Grove Referrals, a specialist orthopaedic referral practice. This has helped to develop her interest in orthopaedics and all things surgery.

Geraldine Bray BVM&S MRCVS (OV)
Cat Advocate
Geri is originally from Switzerland and qualified from the University of Edinburgh in 2015. Geri has volunteered in veterinary clinics in South Africa, Portugal and Cyprus. She is one of our cat advocates; with a keen interest in our feline friends she is keen to promote and lead a cat friendly stance at our practice. When she’s not at work, you can generally find her entertaining and exercising her two Exmoor ponies and her cat, all of which are being clicker trained. Her particular interests in veterinary medicine lie in feline medicine and pain management in all species.

Rachel Baker MVB MRCVS (OV)
Rachel qualified in 2007 from UCD Dublin and has worked at Riversbrook ever since. Rachel is an official veterinarian (OV) which means she can complete pet passports to allow you to take your dogs and cats abroad. Rachel has a particular interest in all areas of internal medicine, and when not at work she likes travelling and taking her three dogs and ferret for walks.

Claire Green DVM MRCVS
Originally from a farming family, Claire grew up in rural Norfolk. She spent six years studying and working in a variety of locations including Liverpool, Dublin and Grenada in the West Indies. Missing home, she returned in 2010 and has worked in small animal practices in both Norfolk and Suffolk ever since. Claire joined us in November 2018, working part time at the Cliff Lane branch. She loves being a vet and is fascinated by animals and the extraordinary human-animal bond that can form. Claire is a keen horse rider and walker and loves exploring the coastline with her energetic Spaniel, Amber-Toodles.

Caoimhe Hodgins MVB MRCVS
Caoimhe (pronounced quee-va) graduated from the University College Dublin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 and joined us in November 2018. Since graduating she has developed interests in both feline medicine and exotics. While studying for her veterinary degree she travelled to Florida to work with zoo animals and spent time during her studies working in a feline only practice.

Rebecca Johnson BVM&S MRCVS
After graduating from Edinburgh University, Rebecca joined us in August 2015. She has since developed an interest in dermatology among a wide range of other disciplines. Rebecca is a keen cyclist and competes in races regularly.

Monika Parker LekVet MRCVS
Monika graduated from Warsaw University of Life Science, Poland, and joined Riversbrook in January 2015. Prior to working in Ipswich Monika worked in small animal practice and was heavily involved with small furries, such as rats, rabbits, gerbils and many more! Monika also has an interest in wound management and ultrasonography and in furthering her knowledge in gastrointestinal disease.

Peter Silke BA VetMB MRCVS
Peter is originally from Northern Ireland and qualified from Cambridge Veterinary School in 2014. He spent his first four and a half years working in a small animal practice in West London, before moving to Ipswich to join Riversbrook Veterinary Group in September 2019. He has particular interests in ultrasonography, endocrinology and feline medicine. When not at work he can be found relaxing at home with his cat, Freyja, or exploring local historical sites with his partner
