

Kay Lockwood BSc (Hons) RVN CertVNES
Clinical Director and Cat Advocate
Kay has a degree in veterinary nursing and qualified in 2009. Previous to working with us she worked in the Midlands with farm and small animals, this is where she developed and interest in surgery and enjoys scrubbing in and assisting the vets. In 2012 Kay completed her certificate in exotic species which covers the nursing of birds, reptiles and small furries. Kay is also one of our cat advocates. With a keen interest in our feline friends she is keen to promote and lead a cat friendly stance at our practice. She is owned by Jenson, a three year old ginger cat.


Laura Borrett RVN
Laura has worked at the practice since leaving her sixth form in 2003, and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2006. She has a keen interest in laboratory work and patient holistic care. She is our insurance claim processor, so if you have ever had an insurance query you would have bound to have spoken to Laura.


Rachel Chisnall RVN
Rachel qualified in 2013 and has worked with small animals since she began her training, after qualifying she has also worked in an emergency out of hours clinic. She is an advanced pet health counsellor meaning she enjoys nurse clinics and answering all your questions. At home she had four crazy Cocker Spaniels who love agility.


Donna Thorrington RVN
Donna first came here for work experience during her studies at sixth form and has never left. Her main interests are rabbits and Springer Spaniels, and has frequently been known to take home wildlife that need a bit of TLC before releasing.


Linda Loftus
Student Veterinary Nurse
Linda has been a member of the reception team since June 2017 and started her veterinary nurse training in September 2018. Before joining us Linda completed a degree in animal science and welfare. At home she has two Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Mitch and Millie.


Kelly Ingram
Animal Nursing Assistant
Kelly has been with the practice for several years and carries out nursing duties at Cliff Lane. She can usually be found out the back looking after animals under anaesthetic and during recovery. When not here she enjoys spending time with her family.
